Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Executive Manager – Risk Evaluation, Governance and Oversight) according to the following:
- Credit Risk regulatory requirements Implementation: Lead the implementation of “best in class” solution for Credit Risk regulations and other Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) requirements in collaboration with the Credit Risk Policy team, and align the Bank’s credit and risk management processes/procedures to ensure full adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and address regulatory, internal and external audit findings in an effective and timely manner to ensure that direct and indirect impacts are identified and addressed.
- Risk Governance: Supervise, enhance and contribute towards the meticulous design, build and maintenance of the risk policies, processes, procedures, regulatory framework implementation.
- International Subsidiary/Foreign Babking branch (FBB) Oversight: Manage the oversight from risk perspective of ADCB overseas operations, monitoring, preparing and distributing risk control reports ensuring the quality and integrity of risk data in all submissions in order to provide management information on business risk profiles and guide risk strategy.
- Monitor the implementation and alignment of subsidiary policies with Group policies & circulars.
- Model Risk Data Management and Risk Bureau Reporting: Supervise the Data Management Forum (DMF) to ensure compliance in line with the CBUAE regulations Collaborate with Credit Administration Department (CAD) and other control function/CIBG stakeholders in the data quality remediation strategies to ensure full understanding of data provided.
- Manage the CBUAE risk bureau and AECB data submission to ensure they are completed in a timely manner with high data quality standards.
- Credit Risk Management Department Wide Initiatives: Coordinate, impact assess and manage credit risk management initiatives, new products and stakeholder requirements in order to implement and adhere to internal/external audit, compliance and regulators.
- Oversee the management, maintenance and enhancement of key credit risk systems/databases, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to achieve target objectives.
- Setup and manage regular IT reviews of system design, mapping, logic, data extraction and report generation in order to provide fit for purpose solutions that are within budget.
- Propose novel methods of engagement, MI and progress tracking through the use of new systems (JIRA etc.) while promoting and advocating for innovation across the risk department.
- People Management: Manage self and team (if any) in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance.
- Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.
- Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures: Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.
- At least 10 years of experience in credit risk working in a large Bank/financial institution with at least 8 years of experience in delivering regulatory initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or IT.
- Strong knowledge of CBUAE regulation Credit Risk Management Standards (CRMS) Model Management Standards (MMS) and Model Management Guidelines (MMG).
- Sharp knowledge of Credit Risk Management measures (Default Rate, Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD), Expected Losses (EL))
- Strong understanding of risk portfolio evaluation and monitoring (Risk-Adjusted Return On Capital (RAROC), Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), Economic Capital)
- Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS9) and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Stress Testing, Basel Capital Requirements.
- Strong knowledge of model risk regulatory reporting requirements (model risk data submission)
- Exceptional knowledge in Banking Book products/services.
- Good understanding of Trading Book products, and its risk management (PFE, xVA).
- Understanding of pillar 2 supervisory risks reputational, strategic and Sharia non compliance.
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge is preferred.
- Project management within Credit Risk Management is preferred.
- Expert use of Structured Query Language (SQL) for data mining/analysis, and strong knowledge of System Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) knowledge is preferred.
- Knowledge of other programming languages preferred (Python) is preferred.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Advanced written and spoken English.
