A job awaits you at a unique interface between industry, banking and politics.
Here, as part of the team, you will take on responsibility in the General Secretariat for new and existing strategic equity investments, especially in the areas of energy and infrastructure.
This includes in particular operational project management support for project management in strategic investments, including complex negotiations with the seller or buyer side and coordination with federal ministries.
You will also evaluate possible investment options as part of the overarching KfW strategy.
In addition, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of your portfolio companies in order to achieve the strategic and economic goals of KfW and the federal government.
This includes questioning the strategies and projects of the portfolio companies as well as coordination and communication with various stakeholders in KfW and federal ministries.

You coordinate with investment banks and auditors on market developments and investment options, form your own opinion and prepare presentations, memos and board submissions for internal decision-making bodies and ministries.
You keep an eye on risk signals, market developments and contractual information obligations and bring your experience to bear in assessing the performance and potential of our investments.
For this job, you should have an above-average degree in economics.

In your professional life to date, you have worked in challenging positions and have gained in-depth expertise in the field of mergers & acquisitions, in project management in deal teams and in terms of due diligence, company valuation, modeling and financial analysis.
With extensive economic knowledge and your ability to succinctly convey complex content from corporate policy, strategy and financing, you appear professional and solution-oriented.
You have experience in the field of regulated industries and are comfortable with corporate and tax law as well as accounting issues.
You also have a watchful eye on the political and institutional environment.
Your actions are characterized by strategic and analytical thinking, you act very carefully and in a structured manner and always act in a matter-of-fact and approachable manner.
Strong communication skills, you can look forward to its support, commitment and an open-minded team in the General Secretariat.
