The research work of the Deutsche Bundesbank primarily serves to develop and consolidate scientific expertise in the areas of economics, banking and financial stability.
This expertise is reflected in high-quality studies that are published as articles in leading journals or as part of other analytical studies.
Support the analytical and scientific work of your colleagues in the research center in either the areas of "Banking and Finance" or "Monetary Policy Implementation and Transmission".
Contribute your expertise to the oretical work or to empirical micro-econometric studies by leading international scientists.
Work as a member of an international team in the opinion-forming and decision-making process of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
Take advantage of access to an excellent IT environment and first-class data sets and contribute scientific analysis.
Assist the research center management in organizing research and providing policy advice.
Master's degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the position (e.g. finance, economics, mathematics or statistics); ideally beginning or ongoing doctoral studies in the field of finance or economics.
Aspired specialization in the field of banking and finance or microeconomic aspects of monetary policy transmission.
Good knowledge of mathematical and statistical applications (e.g. Matlab, R, Stata).
Knowledge of using other programming languages (e.g. Julia, Python, Fortran, C, CUDA), experience in working with large data sets (big data) and good knowledge of data services (e.g. Bloomberg, Datastream, Haver) are an advantage.
Good analytical and conceptual skills, independent and at the same time team-oriented way of working and intercultural competence.
Very good communication skills in English.
