National Bank of Fujairah announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Relationship Manager- Special Assets Management) according to the following:
- To contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for handling high risk corporate customers in order to mitigate losses, generate write back of provisions, delivering solutions to a portfolio of Turnaround and Managed Exit customers by either returning to “live” or closure.
- Prompt and efficient follow up of slow moving and early warning accounts in order to ensure initiation of appropriate and critical required actions in a timely manner.
- When turnaround/exit strategies have been unsuccessful, to promptly move accounts into the remedial team for recovery action.
- Achieve an incremental income target on Turnaround & Managed Exit cases.
- Own relationships that are distressed assets with a view to eventually turnaround the business or recover outstanding facilities
- Lead detailed negotiations with customers regarding the agreement to and implementation of strategy that may conflict with customers’ aims.
- Proactive formulation and implementation of strategies to improve business and bank risk.
- Work with CIBG, Risk, Finance, Legal and Credit teams closely to ensure common understanding of commercial impairment position throughout the year.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the CIBG segments and develop a detailed understanding of their portfolio and risk capabilities to add value especially when the performance of the relationship is slipping.
- Agree critical success factors with CIBG and Credit for turnaround customers.
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting of provisions as well as apply provisioning policy, where appropriate, to ensure provisions are raised in a timely manner.
- Share specific lessons learned from cases by providing feedback to CIBG, Credit and Remedial teams.
- Ensure conformance to policy and procedures.
- Liaising with the Legal Department and External Lawyers to handle the cases moving towards litigation.
- Satisfactory Audit Reports achieved.
- Achieve positive customer experience excellence, measured by number of customers satisfied or more with the team’s involvement.
- Provide coaching, feedback and develop the assigned team members with the objective of developing the resources into next job level.
- Ongoing guidance to team members and assist in resolving grievances and complex situations.
- Academic and Professional Qualifications.
- MBA in Finance / Banking, ACIB/equivalent business experience/other appropriate qualificationKnowledge & Work Experience.
- Previous experience in the succesful delivery of risk management is a must in the local market.
- Knowledge of the Bank’s products, services and policies/or other specialist knowledge required to undertake the role.
- Comprehensive technical credit skills.
- General commercial / industry awareness.
- Products and services frequently used by Corporate Business customes.
- Awareness of legislation affecting the Bank and customers (Local Banking Acts and Company Acts) and have the highest regard for confidentiality.
- Managing risk and reward.
- High level of understanding of the macro economic factors affecting own customer base and the geographic issues relating to individual sectors.
- Stakeholders including senior management will be key to the success of this role thus the role holder will require both strong written and verbal skills in order to ensure that clarity is gained by all involved.
- Experience of having worked with another reputed organisation.
- Some knowledge of Syndications & Project Finance.
- Basel II awareness.
