Invest Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Manager Special Assets Litigation) according to the following:
- Lead the Litigation unit in Special Assets Management Dept. (SAM).
- This job revolves around active engagement and participation in all SAM court cases in UAE at all stages of litigation in coordination with Legal Department and to ensure litigation process held in a timely and efficient manner.
- The ideal candidate will develop, evaluate, and implement strategies for managing and provide legal opinions and advice on the appropriate litigation process in the classified accounts to minimize loss/provisions and maximize recovery from SAM accounts under litigation process.
- This should be concluded in coordination with the Legal department being the ultimate stakeholder of litigation function within the Bank.
- Improve litigation process in coordination with the Legal department in line with the applicable laws and court proceedings.
- Ensuring all members of the SAM litigation unit team are working efficiently.
- Work closely with Legal Dept. with a focus on Legal process in the classified assigned accounts to SAM Dept.
- Represent SAM dept. on all litigation legal matters (Execution stage mainly), advising with the Legal department and overseeing on complex legal issues related to the classified accounts under litigation handled by SAM Dept subject to the applicable laws, regulations, and the best litigation practice to ensure the Bank’s interest are fully protected.
- Coordinate with internal and external legal counsels to identify the appropriate legal strategy and follow-up on the legal proceeding for the cases in litigation within the assigned portfolio to SAM.
- Liaise with all law enforcement authorities (i.e., Police, public prosecutions, courts, judicial committees).
- Liaise with external lawyers/counsels on ongoing litigation process.
- Maintain updated record of all related litigation reports for all court cases related to SAM accounts.
- Maintain updated electronic & indexed court cases files.
- Manage and supervise SAM litigation unit team, plan their KPIs, train them and assess their performance appraisal.
- Monitor the payment of external lawyers’ professional fees as well as related litigation fees.
- Assess the performance of external law firms regularly & constantly.
- Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized University.
- Minimum 5 years legal litigation experience and competence in all relevant laws/legal provisions.
- Full Understanding of banking concepts, procedures & best practices.
- Strong knowledge in legal operations.
- Ability to analyze situations, strategize and select best course of action.
- Excellent Communication.
- Good presentation skills.
- Native Arabic speaker.
- Very Good command of English.
- Planning and organizing skills.
