  • Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of functional objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating team to maximize performance.
  • Mentor, coach, motivate and challenge the direct reports, providing opportunities for growth and development and enhance their internal capabilities.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to make informed decisions and take prompt actions when necessary.
  • Allocate work to direct reports, nominate for training as per the bank’s guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.
  • Manager direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counseling.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring and promotions of department staff.
  • Ensure team member has attended their training courses and they are evaluated by their Line Manager to measure the effectiveness of the training program.
  • Review HR policies and procedures as per the directives of the Chief Human Resources Officer; review memos before circulating to all employees, informing them of any changes in policies/procedures.
  • Operate the HR management system in compliance with the HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop and review HR letters based on staff requests, ensuring that they are developed in a timely fashion.
  • Develop and review reports on employee leave balances and records of consumed employee leaves, ensuring all leaves have been approved and processed as per policies and procedures; notify the Chief Human Resources Officer and the concerned management of any issues pertaining to employee leaves.
  • Review monthly attendance records to all concerned management.
