Mashreq Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Head of Compliance & MLRO– NEOPAY) according to the following:
- To develop and manage the Anti Financial Crime Risk framework for the financial institution and provide advisory services to ensure awareness and adherence to the compliance requirements and proper identification and mitigation of for the bank.
- Develop and implement a robust compliance framework (AML/CFT, Sanctions , Proliferation Financing , Bribery & Corruption, and other financial crime risks the institution may be exposed to) , policies, and procedures in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal guidelines.
- Oversee the day-to-day compliance operations, including KYC/IDV, monitoring, surveillance, and reporting on compliance risks, incidents, and breaches.
- Serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), ensuring effective implementation of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) measures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance-related matters to internal stakeholders, including wealth managers, financial advisors, and trustees.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, compliance reviews, and audits to identify and address any compliance gaps or weaknesses.
- Establish the necessary framework and conduct Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments on Financial Crime Risks
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks to ensure timely implementation of necessary changes and enhancements to the compliance program.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to enhance staff awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Establish appropriate compliance governance framework and structure for the organization.
- Develop and deploy appropriate MIS, Dashboards, Risk Events etc for internal and management reporting perspective.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, such as legal, operations, risk management, and IT, to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processes, products, and services.
- Induce a culture of Data Analytics, Model Management & Automation around Compliance systems and tools.
- Develop and institutionalize appropriate processes, procedures, and systems to comply with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Devise appropriate resource planning, budgeting in line with organizational financial planning process.
- Ensure appropriate levels of people productivity, employee engagement and inculcate a performance driven culture in line with the organizational policies.
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree
- More than 10 years of experience in banking / Payments / Acquiring and/or relevant field, with at least three years as an MLRO.
- Professional diploma / certifications in Compliance by renowned institutes.
- Specific and / or transferable knowledge / experience related to compliance, AML/CFT, Sanctions/PF and Central Bank regulations associated to payments industry.
- Team player and participation experience in variety of banking initiatives and solutions.
- Excellent decision-making ability, analytical skills, administrative and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate and strong command of written and spoken English. Arabic language skill is an added capability.
- Should have experience of implementing new systems/ replacements/ system upgrades for Compliance.
