- Ensure the organizational setup for processing investments through NeoVentures is set up including systems capabilities
- Contributing to the development of the organization's overall Investment strategic direction
- Proactively work with the various businesses and functions within the Bank to source and identify potential investment opportunities through various channels, including networking, industry events, and partnerships.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment targets, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, financial analysis, and management team evaluation.
- Lead the investment process from deal screening to closing, including negotiation of deal terms, valuation analysis, and legal documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of investment transactions
- Create the investment pitch deck to the NeoVentures Board and IC and track to closure for any identified potential investments
- Develop and maintain a strong network within the venture capital community to stay informed about emerging trends and investment opportunities
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews, assess investment performance, and make strategic recommendations for portfolio optimization
- Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and industry dynamics within the venture capital ecosystem
- Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgement and the ability to communicate with cross business teams, staffing and other partners at a senior level
- Interpreting the results from the various valuation methods applied and concluding on an appropriate valuation estimate
- Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude, possess both financial and commercial acumen and enjoy problem solving to understand the drivers of a business, analyze their data and use this to provide insight and advice to our clients.
- Passion for innovation, technology, and new tools, and applying and developing yourself to new areas (e.g., quickly getting up to speed with tools, analytical approaches and business challenges)
- 15+ years of experience in consulting and commercial strategy, with experience at top tier reputable organizations, with a record of delivering exceptional results working collaboratively with Executive VPs and Group Heads
- Leading high-level discussions and decision-making processes related to investment strategy and organizational direction. Providing strategic guidance based on comprehensive analysis of market trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors.
- Experience in leading venture capital investment activities, sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in early-stage and growth-stage companies.
- Experience in dealing with clients, potential buyers, sellers, investors and handling deals end to end
- An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing and leading the investment sourcing process, running prospect meetings and conducting the subsequent investment analysis
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to move from detail to executive level strategy and to develop succinct, convincing C level presentations
- Strong intellectual horsepower, effective interpersonal skills, positive attitude, strong work ethics, high level of cultural adaptability and flexibility
- Experience with creating high value opportunities within a technical environment with proven track record in delivering business value through
- Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, the ability to adapt nimbly and to lead others through complex situations
- Developing and executing strategies to expand the organization's investment presence in global markets. Assessing opportunities and risks associated with international expansion, including regulatory considerations, currency risk, and geopolitical factors.
