Invest Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Senior Retail Credit Reviewer) according to the following:
- Manage and execute all stages of assigned credit audit missions within a pre-defined timeframe: planning, retail transactions review, portfolio analysis, report drafting, and exit meeting
- Retail credit reviews – appraisal of the conduct and profitability of retail assets lending, analysis of the borrower’s financial position, examining the approval process, including loan transactions, quality and accuracy of underwriting, identification of key risks, pre-assessment, evaluation of credit approval, disbursement, and credit administration.
- Secured retail lending review – physical check of security and loan documents, confirmation of registration status, assessment of the value and enforceability of collateral.
- Ensure compliance with CBUAE Regulations and Standards as well as Consumer Protection Regulations (CPR) along with adherence to internal retail policies and procedures.
- Prepare clear and concise worksheets
- Prepare quality reports assessing the business line’s overall risk profile with a focus on asset quality and credit risk management, performing industry and peer group analysis wherever appropriate
- Are the primary day-to-day contact with the business line managers during credit audit assignments and generally thereafter for continuous monitoring purposes
- Ensure business line managers respond directly to the issues that are being raised
- Ensure relevant parties (i.e. Retail Business, Credit risk, Credit Administration Compliance and Retail Operations ) are informed, on a timely basis, of significant credit issues arising from the credit audit assignments.
- Follow up on audit recommendations from issued reports and tracked via Audit issue tracking tool
- Attend portfolio review meetings as part of the continuous monitoring of the retail credit portfolios
- Identify opportunities for improving the credit and/or audit process and share ideas with Head of Credit Reviews
- Perform scheduled and event triggered credit portfolio reviews based on risk of all retail credit products (i.e. Retail credit, Personal Loan, Credit cards, Mortgage/real estate loans, Home Equity loans, etc). The reviews shall at minimum cover:
- Retail bank Portfolio- Identify and evaluates portfolio trends with respect to delinquency and approved terms and conditions.
- Provide suggestions/recommendation for changes/updates/revisions to the underwriting standards, retail credit policy and procedures including score cards
- Assess problem loan management / workout plan effectiveness and watch list guidelines pertaining to retail banking.
- Assessment of the effectiveness of the credit risk processes and standards to promote leading practices and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Assessment of Business and Risk staffing levels to assess the effects on retail assets lending.
- Preparation of Credit Assessment Documents in accordance with and at the quality standards required by the Credit Review Manual and Review Guides.
- Evaluation of the appropriateness of Corrective Action Plans resulting from Reviews or Business Monitoring, and subsequent validation of the effectiveness of the same after implementation by the Business.
- Alerts the Head of Credit Risk Review to the significant risks that might affect objectives, operations or resources of the department.
- Assist in any other job responsibilities assigned by the Head of Credit risk Review and the Chief Auditor.
- University Degree and Professional Qualification in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business, Audit, or risk management.
- Must have at least 10 + years of experience in retail assets review with in the audit department of a reputable retail bank in UAE.
- Senior level credit risk review experience role in a wide variety of Retail Bank Business and Products lines, or relevant experience in a credit risk management related role.
