- Manage trading and operational aspects of the brokerage desk.
- Market and deliver full product suite offering across equities and alternative asset classes and make it available to the franchise of the bank.
- Assist business head in formulating international equities business strategy.
- Implement and manage product communication and sales management strategy.
- Assist in driving sales and trading through developing a ‘target list’
- Organize joint calls with the bank’s marketing officers [including internal working relationships with CBG / RBG / FID] as and when appropriate.
- Identify and develop product and strategy to support the bank’s desired market position.
- Participate in special product initiatives and unit projects from time to time.
- Assist unit head in making recommendations as regards the bank’s pricing, products and competitive edge.
- Conduct competition review on an quarterly basis and analyze the various offerings in relation to the bank.
- Manage client service in reporting product information and providing from time to time market analysis and feedback.
- Ensure that brokerage trades are executed in an accurate and timely manner. Safeguard the bank from fraud and error. Avoid losses and client defections due to trading errors and negligence.
- Manage the risks associated with the business in accordance with external exchange regulations and risk management divisions guidelines and review guidelines.
- Ensure that his / her team members follow the bank’s operating guidelines strictly and rigorously. Make certain there are no contraventions of trading limits.
- Set realistic performance goals for subordinates and him / her. Track each employee’s progress vis-à-vis these goals. Give performance feedback to subordinates informally on a quarterly basis and formally at year end.
- Identify and help to satisfy the training requirements of subordinates in close coordination with business head and human resources.
- Achieve satisfactory audit scores.
- Ensure that office backup is in place for seamless customer service.
- CISI Qualified.
- Bachelor degree holder.
- 3-5 years equity brokerage experience.
