- To manage investment funds and portfolios, conduct research and financial analysis, prepare presentations and reports on ADCB’s funds in order to support ADCB’s fund management strategy
- Conduct in-depth fundamental and technical research/analysis of securities across industries, sectors and regions and identify investment opportunities to assist in forecasting potential investment fund opportunities for the bank
- Assist the line manager in managing ADCB funds and/or portfolios, and conduct trading and implementation for the investment funds and portfolios managed by ADCB while ensuring that trades adhere to the regulations of regulatory bodies
- Participate in daily meetings and develop reports on news and developments relating to companies/sectors/markets covered in order to keep the line manager informed, and enable appropriate decision making
- Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
- Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
- Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
- At least 5 years of experience as a financial/investment analyst in the investment or asset management industry and with hands on research experience in either financials, industrials, real estate, basic materials or services
- Exposure to bond portfolios and strong fixed income portfolio experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent specialisation
- CFA or equivalent
- Familiarity with financial software/systems such as Bloomberg/Reuters
- Familiarity with quantitative modelling software such as Matlab SPSS and SAS
- Deep understanding of core accounting and financial concepts, statistics, economics and empirical research methods
- Ability to find proprietary information
- Analytical skills and understanding of the investment process.
