Mashreq Bank announced, through its Linkedin account, a bank job in UAE (Regional Head of FI-GCC, Turkey, Western Europe & Americas (SVP) ) according to the following:
- Manage and develop existing and new Financial Institutions (FI) relationships in the GCC, Turkey, Western Europe and Americas. Clients in scope include Banks, Central Banks, Multi-Laterals and other FI clients
- Originate client business with Products including GTB Trade finance, GTB Cash Management and Payments, Financial Markets (TCM) (asset and liability) Investment Banking (Loans, DCM, other structured solutions)
- Deepen MB relationships and client connectivity through senior level client engagement and thought leadership.
- Together with the respective country heads, help manage relationships with government authorities, regulators and other stakeholders.
- Act as a senior ambassador for the Mashreq brand.
- Develop and lead business and client strategies which maximize value for MB, having regard to the Bank’s risk appetite and capabilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with decision-makers with key local, regional and international FIs
- Anticipate clients’ needs and provide solutions for their needs working with relevant product partners
- Work closely with MB country management to identify FI opportunities currently untapped
- Provide focus and direction to product partners to ensure MB focusses on clients and business that make sense economically and for the franchise.
- Drive business ethos of FI, emphasizing cross-sell, long term relationship development and appropriate returns.
- Act as a center of excellence to generate themes and solutions applicable to the wider FI teams and their clients.
- Keep up-to-date with market, regulatory, competitive dynamics and industry conditions that impact portfolio performance.
- Extensive client relationships across the in-scope client sub-segments
- Team leadership experience
- Strong FI credit and legal knowledge, marketing skills and portfolio management experience.
- Thorough awareness of FI commercial banking products.
- Deep knowledge of the local markets and the regulatory environment.
- Experience of originating varied business from FI Banks and NBFIs.
- Proven leadership strengths including communications skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Team player and coach.
- Minimum regional FI banking experience of 15 years.
- Arabic speaker preferred.
